Call Forwarding Question

When I try and call a friend of mine the bottom of my screen says "call forwarded" for a few seconds and then my call goes straight to voicemail. I don't have call forwarding on and it's only saying "Call Forwarded" when I try and call 1 specific contact. Why could this be? Im using the S22 with Android 12.

Sounds like the person you are

trying to call, have their calls being forwarded. It's their device, not yours.

Although I'm a little surprised that you would see that information?

That's what I thought as well, but I agree, why am I being notified of it? Seems odd for sure 😊

I looked into it a little more (curious lol), and it seems that it's an unintentional network glitch. You may even hear the ringing tone change. 

But it should not happen 🙂

Hi Atsirt, Did you check with your carrier once?

It's not necessarily their Carrier. 

They are asking why they would see "call forwarded", when calling someone else. 

So it should really be the person who is being called, that should check with their Carrier, as it's the other person's Carrier that is allowing the information to be displayed.

I believe what you are seeing is the person's phone that you are calling Forwarded not your phone.

Is it not your call forwarded to their voicemail?

That's what it's looking like yup. Never happened before calling anyone and getting voicemail right away, was different for me, thank you!!
