Hi not sure if anyone else has got this issue, but ever since the 6.1 update on my s23 ultra if I want to customize my home screen to add widgets for example I used to long press on the home screen and the options would pop up to go to the widget, wallpaper options etc, but now this no longer works! Will Samsung be fixing this or did they remove that option with the current update?

Still there on One UI V6.1 on my S23 Ultra.

Pick an empty space on the desktop & it'll popup.

Go to Settings > Apps > 3 Dot Menu Top Right > Special Access & Appear On Top.

Disable this permission, for the apps that have this permission, as it sounds like maybe an overlay is preventing you from accessing the Settings for your Home Screen?

You can re-enable "Appear On Top" after if you want to.

You could also try Clearing BOTH Cache & Data for One UI Home.. but you'll have to set it up again after.

Last (maybe) suggestion, Boot into Recovery & Wipe Cache.. If that doesn't work, Backup & Factory Reset..

No issues on my S23 Ultra One UI V6.1.

I usually use Nova Launcher myself.. Only switched to One UI Home to see if it was a problem with 6.1, but it's not for me.

Possibly check your home screen settings to see if something got changed that is not allowing you to add items to home screen

Yeah, if they locked the Home Screen Settings, they wouldn't be able to add Widgets etc.

This should be Toggled OFF (to the left).

Hi T3CHGY007, just to confirm have you tried the work around which was provided by our Samsung community members? Is it worked for you?

Yes! I found out that my main page with the apps on it will not bring up the settings with the long press, but if I open a blank page with no apps on it at all it will work!

I took a screen recording of the issue but it would not let me add it for you to see!

Even if you have just one app on your home screen, and long pressing far away from that app's icon, it won't bring up Settings for One UI Home?
