Data transfer

Just upgraded from S9 to S20FE. Smart switch didn't transfer Google play games progress to new phone. How can this be rectified?

SmartSwitch will transfer the apps, but not the actual game progression.

Depending on the game, sometimes it can be saved under your "game profile" if the game has that feature to create an account. 

If not, the only other way would be using a 3rd party app to transfer your progress or an app like file explorer to manually locate where the saved game file is, and then copy it over to your new device.

See if this works for you:

Transfer your progress:

- Check if your in-game profile is connected to your Google Play, or Game Center account

- Then enter the game with the same Google Play or Game Center account on your new device

- Start the game and if you are not offered to restore saved progress, go to the in-game settings and tap "Connect"
