My wife has a Samsung Galaxy S25 with One UI 8.0, and she set up an animation where hearts fall when she receives notifications, she also setup edge lighting around the screen border. She decided she didn't want it. we want to actually disable the Edge Lighting effect—the border glow around the screen. We tried turning off Edge Lighting in Notifications, Advanced Settings, and Display, this includes "Notifications popup also", but it still appears. Could you help us find a specific setting we might have missed or a troubleshooting step to disable this function?

Hi Haisley, thank you for assisting us. We been through all these steps and the problem still persists. We even tried clearing the cache and data, then uninstalling "Edge lighting+" and trying the methods you mentioned above. And reinstalling the Good Lock module edge lighting+

Try this,

Go to Settings > Apps >Search for Edge Lighting & Click on it and Scroll down to Storage & Clear Both Cache & Data for the app and Reboot.. See if that works for you?

Two last things I can think of.. Boot into Recovery and Wipe Cache (don't think that it'll fix it?).

Factory Reset & don't restore anything.. initially. Edge Lighting effects should definitely be gone.

Or just tell her that it's you wishing her Happy Valentine's day every time 😉😊

Lol, I'll tell her that 😂 thanks for your time. Maybe just better to leave it be for now. She spent so much time customizing her phone.
