Hello Everyone. Happy New Year. Please my S20 Ultra started displaying "failed camera" message everytime I open the camera app.
I have tried restart/reboot. I have also tried the option of resetting the camera.

What can be done?

Hi Oluda,

Happy New Year! We are sorry to hear about the camera issue on your Galaxy S20 Ultra. Here are steps to troubleshoot the "Camera Failed" error.

Restart the Device. Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons until the device restarts. This refreshes the system and resolves temporary glitches.

Clear Camera App Cache and Data: Go to Settings > Apps. Scroll down and select Camera. Tap Storage > Clear Cache.

If the issue persists, select Clear Data (this resets camera settings but does not delete photos).

Boot into Safe Mode: Test if a third-party app is interfering with the camera:

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the Power button until the Samsung logo appears, then release and hold the Volume Down button.
  3. Safe Mode will appear at the bottom-left of the screen.
  4. Open the Camera app in Safe Mode. If it works, an app you installed may be causing the issue. Uninstall recently added apps.

Use the Samsung Members app to check for hardware issues: Open Samsung Members. Go to Diagnostics > Camera and run a test.

Thank you.
