Just in case someone else runs into a similar issue, Samsung tends to take their sweet time to actually refund you.
My returned phone was delivered on February 9th to Samsung, and just today (Feb 21st) I got an email saying they're going to give my refund within 5 days.
So if you're in a similar situation to me, just be patient. Despite the customer service person promising a refund within 5 days of delivery...

Galaxy SRan into same a couple of years ago when ordering my S22 and discount code never showed up till after I had ordered so with Samsung the only way to fix it was to order a second device using the code so was charged immediately for both devices but took a couple weeks for the refund for the 1st one to be credited to my account🙄

That's annoying!
Last year I had a similar situation but I cancelled the order before it shipped so I never got charged to begin with thankfully.
