Hello guys,

I bought a S22U in India last year and recently got a 5G Rogers sim card (Canadian). But my phone never actually goes above 4G, is there any solution to this? The CSC code says OXM.

There was another person posted recently with the same problem with a device bought in India.
Likely is caused by the difference in devices to connect to different systems in India and Canada

Rogers, and likely other Canadian Carriers have been known to limit services on devices not put from them. Your Exynos variant is potentially another issue.

If you want 5G, nevermind 5G+, I'd sell it and get a Canadian device.

Check to see if the Indian version of the phone uses the same bands for 5g as Canada. I lost a phone in Australia about 12 years ago and purchased a new one there. It was in the days of 3g but I couldn't pick up 3g service here on it, it used different bznds

I switched to Telus unlimited with 5G and the speeds are way slower than I had with koodoo 4G lte.
Why can't anything ever work smoothly

The Canadian carriers limited other countries phones use in Canada. I used to buy Sony Erricson from HK and the frequencies are supported in Canada. But never able to get 3G and always got Edge. Then check with Rogers, and they said they intend to do this because the phone was not buy from them. Then changed to Telus, same things happened. Then, I gave up and start buying phones in Canada. All good afterwards.

Hi DhwanilRana,

As mentioned by multiple members in this thread, one of the reasons would be your device's 5G hardware. Since it is not a Canadian model, your S22 Ultra's 5G hardware is only compatible with 5G bands used in India, or in other countries that have the same or compatible 5G bands. Vice versa, the 5G feature in Canadian Galaxy devices might not work in other countries.

If you would like to inquire more about 5G compatibility, we also recommend asking your cellular carrier's customer representative.
