Galaxy SHi FirstladyJB,
We are sorry to hear the buggy experience on your device and certainly understand your disappointment on this.
Please try the below steps and see it helps:
Force a reboot on the phone. Press and hold the Power and Volume Down keys simultaneously until the phone reboots (about 7 seconds).
If your phone is completely drained, charge it for at least 15 minutes using the supplied wall charger before attempting a reboot.
If the Maintenance Boot Mode screen appears, select Normal Boot using the volume and home/Bixby buttons.
Update your device's software:
Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Follow on-screen prompts to update your device.
Ensure your device has sufficient charge (over 50%) and internet connection before starting the update.
If an error occurs during the update, follow instructions to resolve boot loop issues or free up storage.
Reboot your device in Safe Mode:
From the Power menu, touch and hold Power off until the Safe mode icon appears, then tap Safe mode.
Uninstall any recently downloaded apps one by one, restarting the device after each removal to check for normal function.
Wipe Cache partition:
You can also try Booting into Recovery by Wiping Cache partition. If you wipe your cache partition, it removes any temporary files that may be causing some problems with your device.
1. Hold the Power button and Volume Down to open the power options where choose the Power off.
2. When the screen goes dark press the Volume Up and Power keys together.
3. Let go of all held buttons when you see the Recovery mode on the screen.
4. Then you should select Wipe cache partition. Use Volume Up to navigate and the Power button to accept it.
5. Choose Yes and press the Power key to confirm that operation.
6. After that select Reboot system now with the Power key.
If nothing works, it may be time to try a factory reset. Follow the guide carefully, and back up everything you can prior:
