am using samsung level u pro headphone in my Samsung galaxy s8. When I enable uhq upscaler option its not work properly, when I listening to music sounds brake..Am also using samsung level application. I think its software issue
If it's a software problem maybe try clearing data and cache for that specific application to reset all settings and then test the Headphone without playing around with setting to see if you still get the breaks in music and then try toggling settings.
UHQ is causing problem. I got a chance to test UHQ on my bluetooth speaker, and it causes disturbance when playing. Only when both device sit stable at one place is when it works perfectly. as you mentioned that you have headphones; not moving is not an option. so turn off UHQ is the best option for you.
