How can I do this? I'm sure it can't be all that difficult, but I have not been able to find any information abouit it anywhere I have looked.

I should have said that the device is a Galaxy S10+, in case that makes a difference.

I've tried that a couple of times before I came here to ask the question. When I click on Move Contacts, I am presented with a screen with 3 choices; Phone, SIM card and Google. None of which can I choose when touching them. Any ideas?

Go into your contacts app on the phone. Click on the hamburger menu in top left corner (three horizontal lines. At the bottom it should say manage contact. Imlort/export as you need between accounts. I'm on an s9 but hopefully it's the same.
Oops beat me to it. I for some reason don't have the option to move contacts. Perhaps because they are duplicated in both Google and samsung accounts.

I find it confusing, more so because I came from a Blackberry Q10 and more than 14 years using Blackberries. This is a new experience for me.

Try export to storage and then import back to an account.

Apparently there is no one who knows how to answer this question with a solution. I appreciate the two suggestions, but neither worked. So, I will carry on as I have been for the last few months. Thank you both for trying to help.

Try this - Contacts - Click on Samsung Contacts - Three Dot Menu Top Right & Select Move Contact from Phone to (Select the Google account you want to use) 🐧
