Galaxy SHi coolguy123, we are sorry to hear that your'e facing this issue after the update.
The most common reasons for a device becoming hot are:
- Your device is charging
- Your device is running a power-intensive app
- Your device is being used in a case or cover
If your device is getting too hot, or is becoming uncomfortable to handle, there are a few things you can try to reduce the temperature.
It is normal for your device to heat up slightly as it charges. Remove the charger from your device and see if the device cools down.
Adaptive refresh rates automatically adjust the refresh rate of your screen depending on the app that you're using. Using a power intensive app while your screen is set to an adaptive refresh rate can cause your device to heat up. Try adjusting the refresh rate of your device to the default of 60Hz and see if the temperature decreases.
If your device is within a case or cover it may be increasing the temperature. Try removing the case to give your device more space to cool.
You can also try Booting into Recovery by Wiping Cache partition. If you wipe your cache partition, it removes any temporary files that may be causing issues with your device.
Hold the Power button and Volume Down to open the power options where choose the Power off > When the screen goes dark press the Volume Up and Power keys together > Let go of all held buttons when you see the Recovery mode on the screen > Then you should select Wipe cache partition. Use Volume Up to navigate and the Power button to accept it > Choose Yes and press the Power key to confirm that operation > After that select Reboot system now with the Power key.
Here are some additional steps you can take to address the heating problem:
1. Check Background Apps: Make sure that there are no excessive background apps running on your device, as they can contribute to increased heat generation. Close any unnecessary apps running in the background.
2. Limit Intensive Tasks: Avoid using resource-intensive apps or performing tasks that put a heavy load on your device, such as gaming or streaming high-definition videos, for extended periods, as these activities can lead to increased heat generation.
3. Optimize Settings: Adjust your device's settings to optimize performance and reduce heat generation. For example, lower the screen brightness, disable features like Always On Display when not in use, and limit background data usage.
Thank you.

Galaxy SWhen you say that your device is overheating, do you know what temperature it is actually running at?
It may feel warmer, but it could still be in a perfectly normal temperature range.
My S23 Ultra is currently running at about 34°C, unplugged.
You could always download Samsung's Good Guardians Thermal Guardian from apk mirror (it's not available on the Galaxy Store in Canada..).
You can change the parameters to keep the temperature lower, if you want to.

Galaxy SYou need to download and install Samsung's Good Guardians main app here:
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/galaxy-labs/
You need to download & Install Samsung's Good Guardians Thermal Guardian here:
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/samsung-thermal-guardian/
You may have to Allow from Unknown Sources. apk mirror is extremely SAFE!
Once you have installed both, open Thermal Guardian and you can slide the slider to the left to reduce the operating temperature.
But, 37°C, really isn't very warm.
If it was in the low 40s that might be a a concern.. but I wouldn't worry at all about 37°C
