Enable developer mode then You'll be able to turn on simulate display with cut out

The option used to be under the  "Settings" > "Display" > "Full Screen Apps"  menu...  there used to be 3 dots in the top corner that allowed you to go into a sub menu to hide the camera.  This needs to be brought back.
