Galaxy SBoth my S10+ and my wifes have recently started to play the Samsung Sound ringtone "over the horizon". It happens randomly, sometimes on both phones within a couple of minutes of each other. There is no incoming call or notification associated with the playing and it cannot be turned off, it repeats continually and can only be stopped by rebooting or turning off the phone. We have not installed any new apps. and the problem started at the same time with both phones. We've both had advice of system updates to 12UI. Can anyone help please?

Galaxy SHello. I have been having the same song continue to play at 10:30 each day for some reason and I can't get it to shut off until it's done with whatever it's doing. Can you please tell me what the app is I must delete to get this song to stop? I tried going in to delete the Samsung song "Over the Horizon" but it won't let me delete it. I see you mentioned deleting the "IPL 2022" app, however I am not locating this on my S10 anywhere after searching for hours. Any help at all would be appreciated.

Galaxy SIf it's occurring every day at exactly 10:30 it sounds like it's likely a reminder / alarm.
Did you check for any existing reminders or alarms?
If you check in Settings > Notifications at 10:31, what is the Last notification that your device received?

Galaxy SYes, I checked there and all alarms as well. It is the "over the horizon" samsung sound that others are complaining about. I just need to know how to stop it. Lol

Galaxy SYeah, but I think that for the others, it was happening randomly, and not at the same time every day?
That's why I THINK that it's a different issue for you.
But you can Search for Samsung's "Over the Horizon Ringtone", using Samsung's My Files.
Click on "Internal Storage" > Ringtones & Scroll down to "Over the Horizon". You may have 2 files as I do. Delete them both & see if that fixes the issue for you.. but like I said, your issue seems to be different, because it's not random as you said.

Galaxy SThank you. I tried doing exactly what you said and this ringtone isn't in there to even chose for some reason. It shows only 3 ringtones and Zedge is all in this location. I did locate the ringtone in a different place when you actually go to settings, sounds, ringtones etc but it won't let me delete it from there. This is definitely an issue I can't seem to fix. Crazy. I appreciate you trying to help me.

Galaxy STry this, tomorrow morning BEFORE the Ringtone occurs, Boot into Safe Mode and see if it still happens at 10:30. If it doesn't, then it's likely a 3rd party app is causing the Ringtone to happen.
Only other thing that I can think of, would be to Backup with Smart Switch & Factory Reset.. BUT don't restore your device until AFTER the Ringtone normally starts.
Restoring your device beforehand, could also restore the setting / app that is causing the problem.
Wait until AFTER 10:30 to restore your phone.
See if it happens again the next day?
Anyway, that's what I would likely do.

Galaxy SIt seems like the problem is not specifically in this IPL, which I also don't have on my S10, but in interaction between an app and operating system. And probably the last update of the OS causes this interaction to get wrong. If such an app can be detected and removed - it's a partial solution since another app may cause a similar problem.
