I just purchased the S10+ (Canada) yesterday. I had setup my fingerprint and used it as normal. Today it does not work. Even if I go to register a new print, it wont recognize that my finger is there. Moist or not. Screen has the factory protector on. I dis the diagnostic test in the dialer app... reads as a FAIL under DBIAS_VOLTAGE. This is definitely a hardware failure. I'm running the latest Samsung security patch (may 2019). Anyone else have their fingerprint reader outright stop functioning?

Try to delete your old fingerprint, restart the phone and try to register your new fingerprint see if it work.

this does not work. deleted fingerprint. restarted. safe mode. nothing. the phone WILL NOT see a singer on the screen so I can't even get past the part of trying to register a new print.

nope my S10+ was been perfect since release day, I would suggest taking it back to the store and getting a new one

it happens! don't be discouraged. out of the millions of phones they make there's always a few that are bad apples. but yes return it and you'll have a brand new working S10+

You just got brand new phone, something wrong just go get exchange for another, nmmy phone is fine. Like Hansfan said, thing happens, just go get another and you will be Happy. Cheers
