Hey folks,

Anybody else having issues with their voice recorder since the last update? Mine opens, but crashes within seconds after pressing record every single time, and I cannot access my recordings list. I've already rebooted the phone, cleared the cache, and no change.

I'm a musician and use it quite extensively for recording riffs and musical ideas, so this is really annoying for me, on top of losing the option to "hide" the screen camera notch. Samsung updates suck, and don't seem based on user needs and desires really. If I wasn't so used to the UI, I'd definitely switch to another brand.

Hi Tetsuo1980, try go to recovery mode do a wipe cache partition:

- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
- When the Android logo displays, release all three keys
- Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
- Press Power key to select.
- Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
- When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
- Press the Power key to restart the device.

You said you cleared cache, for the app right?

You should also clear data for the app as well & reboot and it SHOULD be working.

Hi RedDog, wouldn't doing this also wipe all your saved recordings?

thanks,

Yeah, I have exactly the same problem with my S10 voice recorder. I agree about Samsung software...it's terrible. There's lots of big updates which slow the phone down and disable existing features. If the software wasn't so heavily skinned and closer to stock/pure Android Samsung phones would be amazing.
