I upgraded to the S23 roughly 30 days ago. Recently, I began having issues where some of my apps won't work on Wi-Fi but have no issues on mobile data. I've done all troubleshooting up to and including a factory reset. I've cleared the partition and repaired the apps. I've uninstalled them and then tried downloading them again. I've made sure all permissions have been given, and that the battery is not optimized for these apps. I don't have Wi-Fi issues with any other devices and the S21 in my house works no issues. I've chatted with support who told me to take the phone in for service because they have no other solutions apparently. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Hi Pinky183, we appreciate your efforts in performing all the necessary troubleshooting steps including factory reset.

However, the Wi-Fi issue is not resolved yet you might need to get the device examined by the service technician to know the root cause of the issue and get it fixed.

Please visit the link given below to know the nearest Samsung authorized service center.

The service tech said they would need to send my phone to Samsung and I wouldn't have it back for over 7 business days. The device is 30 days old

Is the issue with OneUI?

Apparently it may well be an issue, but I don't think that it's specifically related One UI V5.1.

The issue doesn't seem to affect everyone, but for those who do have the problem, disabling WiFi-6 on the Router and just using WiFi 5Ghz seems to solve the problem, until Samsung releases a fix for it... again.

Some others with your device have reported an issue with WiFi6.

If you are using WiFi6, there's no point in visiting a Samsung Service Centre.

What's wifi6?

WiFi 6 provides the fastest real-world speeds and range

WiFi 5 and WiFi 6 carry the highest number of streams, thus allowing for faster gigabit WiFi speeds. WiFi 6 increases the number of streams to a new high of 12 across the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, whereas WiFi 5 has a limit of 8 in a dual-band configuration.

I checked my router and asked my internet provider and they said I don't have wifi6. My router shows 2.4 and 5ghz.

Have you tried just unplugging & plugging the Router back in?

You could also try Resetting your Network Settings.

Go to Settings and Search for "Reset" & Reset Network Settings & Reboot.

You'll need to know your passwords as they will be cleared.
