I've recently changed from iPhone to android, S8 and I have people sending me text messages that I am not receiving. before selling the iPhone I did turn off imessage and disable this from the phone but these are people who I've already had msgs with on the s8 but sometimes I still do not get there msgs.... wyd 😲

Do they happen to still have your contact saved from when you used iMessage. It could be possible they are texting your iMessage contact saved in their phone. In which case you would not receive those messages.

As mentioned above, best way to test this is select compose and manually put in a number, not select from contacts and then you will know if you receive those text messages or not.
If this continues to happen, best to give your service provider a quick call.

ugh those damn iphones.
Only thing I know about these crummy devices is disable imessage.

You can also disable the imessage completely on the Apple just search on the internet disable imessage and it will notify Apple, but it can also be some problems with your carrier, sim card charge could be a solution

Hi there. I just recently switched from iPhone to S8 plus and I'm having the exact same problem. My family can send SMS messages to me from their iPhone only if they turn off the imessage. but I have lots if contacts that I can't ask to do that, so I might be missing important messages. I did put the sim card back into iPhone, turn off imessage, put it back into SAMSUNG and it still doesn't work. We sent a message to Apple to take my number off the imessaging so will see if that works.
