Galaxy SSo after being proactive and updating my phone early to Samsung's latest OneUI patch, I was rewarded with my screen becoming unresponsive. Mind you, the phone is still completely functional, it connects to Wi-Fi and has background processes active. However, the screen will not react to my touches. I am stuck on my lock screen, with no ability to interact with my phone, other than holding the side buttons. As a side note, I am not using a screen shield or anything that would obstruct my finger from my phone screen. It was working fine before the update. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, updating from OneUI 6.0 to 6.1.
I had talked to Samsung Care support, who was of little help in trying to troubleshoot the issue.
I have managed factory reset the phone through the android safe mode (the menu you get from turning the phone off and back on while holding the power and volume keys).
But now my phone sits on startup screen, still unresponsive as earlier. Any suggestions on what I should do next?

Galaxy SI don't know if this will help, but I've only just updated my A72, and I had the problem of double-tap not waking my screen up, and fingerprint not working either. It turned out to be the "Accidental touch protection" that was causing this! I turned it off and all is working again. Before this, I could still open my phone using the power button, and then using the swipe pattern. You may have to try using a mouse, otherwise.

Galaxy SExactly the same issue with my s21 Ultra. Worked fine before the update. I am using the S pen from my tablet. None of the suggested options have fixed the problem. Samsung helpline couldn't help.

Galaxy SHello Samsung
Do you see what you did to us after your update? Those who use the S21 Ultra phone all have the phone’s touch screen turned off.
I am one of those people. My phone's touch screen stopped immediately after the update. I went to the approved company. Unfortunately, they were frustrated. All they had to do was change the screen. This indicates their failure. They say things without knowledge.
Me and three others were there using the S21 Ultra and the touch screen stopped immediately after the update
We ask you to solve the problem quickly. We are stuck because of you

Galaxy SI have been having this very same screen issue since the latest update, if SAMSUNG created an update that puts their clients at the expense it is bad for the Company, I am giving SAMSUNG the approval for an automatic update on my S21 ULTRA Please fix this issue please I beg, we boast our SAMSUNG Gargets until stuff like this happens.
