Samsung messages chats/rcs stopped working

Just randomly at midnight, my contacts say it shows delivered but there's nothing on my end and only sends as SMS. Any suggestions?

You could check for updates to Samsung Messages, Clear it's Cache & Data, but it's quite likely that it's just a network outage with your Carrier. 

You can also check on 

downdetector.ca to see if your Carrier has been experiencing any issues.

Hi kmohanraj, I suggest you to try the steps below to clear the cache and get back to us with the results.

Empty your phone's cache memory. To clear the cache, go to Settings, drag to and tap on Apps. Go to the app you want to erase and tap it. Tap Storage, then Clear Cache.

Every so often carriers have an outage for RCS. It should come back with in a few hours.

Rcs stopped working all day today, hasn't come back once and when I send pictures or gifs to someone it just sends as mms. Read receipts are also not showing up anymore. Other than restarting the phone is there any suggestions to fix?

Hi. I'm having the same issue as well. All was good until Sunday morning and still isn't working. Rebooted and tried to clear the cache but didn't help. My friend had no issues until just a few hours ago and is doing the same thing.
