Samsung Messages didn't come pre-installed on the S25 series... so..

Not worth it. Google Messages is miles better with tons more functionality ..

Unfortunately, Samsung couldn't make it that. I was in love with Samsung messages until they gave up on this project and adopted Samsung cos Google made them. Look at Apple sticking with iMessage. I wish Samsung would have done the same.

It's back with RCS now. It's been working great.

Please teach me how RCS is working on messages. I am making the switch to Samsung messages.

Thank goodness it's back. Google messages is horrible. Not to mention google products in general are unreliable and always at threat of being dropped. Checkout their graveyard of projects and apps, it's remarkable the great products they killed. Can't trust that company.

In fact, messages app was never killed, just that Samsung kind of let it not make it that important. The Samsung Messages app is still available for download from the Galaxy Store with some features excluded.

I was rejoicing when I saw this. It was pretty depressing when I used my s25 for the first time and saw a google product controlling my essential text/messaging functionality.
