Hi all
I switched from an S20+ to an S22 ultra.
When I use the dial pad, keypad, I have a text option bottom left corner.
Updated the phone, that went to Google video call, disabled it and went back to text button.
After restarting phone, now I have Video calling.
Can't figure it out.
Any help would be great
Thanks

Normally, when I want to send a Text message, I open Google Messages (you may use Samsung's Messages?).

If you insist on sending Texts from the Dialer, click on the 3 Dot Menu Top Right & select "Send Message".

I only get those options if I keep in at least 1 number of character. Otherwise there is no text option from the top right three for menu, not an icon for video calls.

Is it the same for you?

That's what I'm doing now. Was using a S20+ for 2 plus years and it's crappy to add another step. Very use to the way it was.

Well, it just seems to more logical to have voice & video calls on the Dialer.

Text Messages can be sent from a variety of Messaging apps.

Just place the Messaging app you use as a shortcut on your device's desktop.

Sending Texts, SMS / MMS from the phone Dialer just seems counterintuitive, to me it'd be pretty much the same as sending emails from the Dialer.
