I've been having touch screen issues with my Galaxy s20. I would tap a area on the screen to make a selection and it would make the screen scroll up or down. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this problem let me know.

P.S. am I the only one?

That's not normal. Did you recently install a screen protector?

You can try Booting into Recovery and wipe cache & if the problem persists you can try a factory reset, but backup your phone with smart switch FIRST.

You can also try using the Diagnostics on the Samsung members app.

Yes, I just used the diagnostic tests for the touch screen and the screen responded normally, the screen protector seems to be the issue. I only got this one because I liked it on the Galaxy S9. However the thumb print scanner is not the same.

Thumb print scanner on the S20 won't work with a full body case that is perhaps too thick.

Thanks, I just wanted to hear what the community said regarding this problem.

If you know of a good full body case that works well with the screen thumb print scanner let me know.

I'm using Whitestone Dome tempered glass screen protector without any problems.

Looks pretty good, I'll do some research on the information you provided, thanks

I think this is the only glass screen protector fully work on Samsung's phone. This is the only glass protector all members recommend.

Yeah, I think so too because all of the ones that I've seen don't look very sturdy anyhow, which is why I bought the iBlason, it covers the entire phone.

Well I have two choices then, I can use the case I have and pretty much live with the inconsistencies of screen sensitivity. Or go without full cover protection and use the kit you recommend. I might just do that. Thanks for you insight into the matter. I should have come here sooner.

Well the behaviour you're describing certainly sounds like it's definitely related to the screen protector you are using. It's as if the screen protector you have installed can't tell what you are trying to input on the screen.

I along with many other people have never seen this with Whitestone

Check your screen sensitivity in settings. Whether you have a screen protector or not will determine how the screen reads your touches, you can adjust it there
