Hello, I have suddenly started experiencing a weird charging issue with my S22. All my USB-C chargers stopped working on my phone. There is 0 power delivery happening with a USB-C charger. But all USB-A type chegers are working. They are pretty slow compared to a type-c charger, but that's thebonly thing working.

Any ideas on what's going on ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You are talking about the Charging Cable, right? The Charging port on your device is USB Type C, so I'm not sure if you're saying that you are using a Type A to Type C adapter, or if you are somehow talking about the Charging Block?

Regardless, Open the Samsung Members app & Click on Support & run the Diagnostics for the the USB Charging Port, see if you get any error messages?

Maybe you could post a picture of what you are using?

Yes, exactly. So the block itself is not charging. I have used 3 different Type-C blocks, and none is working, there is just no sign of charging, as though nothing is connected. Those same blocks used to charge my S22 and they are still working perfectly fine with my Note 10 and S9.

My Usb-A block, actually all my Usb-A blocks are working with my S22.

I have never had an issue like that before. The charger was either working or not. This time, it's selective working ...

I THINK that the main difference between Type A & Type C Charging Blocks is the maximum Wattage & Voltage, with Type A supporting lower maximums.

It suggests to me that the issue is with the phone & not the charging blocks.

Whether it's a hardware issue, or a software issue with the phone, that would be the question I would have.

Run the Diagnostics for the Charging port, with Both Types of Charging Blocks, From what you describe, I would pretty much expect to see an error with the Type C block.

Depending on the results of the Diagnostics..

You can see if Booting into Recovery will do anything, maybe??

Since you've tried different charging hardware with the same results.. The only other thing that you can try yourself, is a Factory Reset, if Wiping Cache didn't help.

It sounds like for whatever reason, your phone may not be accepting the higher rate of charging? Unless the Wattage & Voltage are identical between Type A & Type C Charging Blocks.

If nothing works, you may want to visit a Samsung Service Centre to get the phone checked out by a tech, and bring your charging blocks & USB Cables with you.

Yeh, I was thinking that it must be the W and V that it can take. Running diagnostics, it doesn't see the Type-C charger at all, so it doesn't evwn recognize that it's connected, but type-A is fine and works.

I'll have to take it to a Service center ai guess. Just hate thebfactoey reset and running the phone from zero again 😅 Thanks for the help. Pretty much confirmed what I was thinking

Yes I know that a Factory Reset can be a pain, but Smart Switch is surprisingly good for backing up & restoring your device.

A Factory Reset, may not help, but personally I'd rather at least try it, before going to a Samsung Service Centre, not too mention, that they might well do a Factory Reset themselves.

Good luck 🤞🏻

None of this helps unfortunately, but thank you. There's an issue with specifically the high PD delivery options. Weird, but that's what I found out
