I brought this up before and I'm sure others have as well, but I think it's time Samsung has a few "mods" for the samsung members or even "trusted members" that has the power to hide posts that then the manager (steve or others) can review and either make it public again or deleted the thread. this would help and prevent threads of inappropriate things like n udity and such. since there are younger kids here

I also think it's a good idea to give a few select members mod rights, because when you think about we're the ones who are on Samsung Members more than the actual mod, not to say he's not doing a great job.

Sorry but if Samsung cannot do their job just hired new staff me i don't want to have a member who doesn't work for Samsung beginning to play a little policeman because some people will begin to have the big head. Whit the price of the phone i am sure that Samsung can hired new staff and they will be impartial to everyone.

@Alain81 I think it's a great idea to have members help out. sure they have the money to hire people, but why when there are many passionate members that are willing to. it's a inventive for members to help others to eventually get say rewards, or become a mod, or something like that.

It would be great to see... as there are a few on here that are always on I know for me I am on everyday at least 15 times a day if not more that I check the forums but to give Steve a little bit of support its hard to choose who should be given any sort of mod rights or the ability to hide posts...
So good luck to Steve and the others in making this decision.

I think it should go by pertinence rather than frequency. Because if some members get escalated to sub-mods, I think they can get notified if someone flags something. Frequency of opening the app could be abused to escalate the wrong persons to sub-mods.

Or be a mix of both. Sub-mod selection just must not be random. Imagine, an Apple Troll escalated to sub-mod...

There has to be a screening process which I think is "a form" that @Steve01 is referring to. Most likely will include a code of conduct, roles and responsibilities amongst other things. Choosing mods from different areas as well to provide full 24/7 community support.

Also, there should be a hidden/secure sub forum that Mods can communicate to one another regarding undecided/borderline posts or threads. As well as allow open communication between each other.

I used to mod in a community forum a long time ago. Not an easy task based on what was required. It means a lot more than just knowing things about products. It was about keeping things in line and caring enough to grow a community. So the forum was looking for members that had core values evolved around growing the community (ie. friendly, non volatile, diplomatic, etc).

I'm no longer a mod though and I don't think I would want the responsibility. It's too much work involved and time spent. LOL

Very likely @Vic20. They wouldn't just say to a bunch of members "Well, we decided you are now sub-mobs. Do it right. Bye!". It's far more than just "moderating" comments. Especially when it gets touchy, it can be very very hard.

But I am positive all this is being worked on by them. They don't just hop into a project for the sake of it. If @Steve01 came to us and told us this is being worked on, it's likely because they already worked significantly on it to be deemed a viable option.

But just to make sure, I'll file a suggestion about the sub-mod system.
