Just today I tried to reply to an email in my Samsung email app and it wouldn't go..."Unable to fetch the certificate from the server"...I then checked under 'security' and the encrypt box was checked. I didn't change anything myself, and this happening is new . Isn't Samsung mail encrypted in the first place for security?? (Like other email service ie: Gmail)
Then why doesn't mine work when this is checked, anyway? I feel so 'ignorant'...😑

You may need to check your incoming/outgoing server settings.
Is this an email provided by your ISP? Such as shaw or Telus?

Have you also tried to delete the account and reset it up again. Also are you using POP/IMAP or Microsoft Exchange (exchange works alot better)

Hi, we are very sad to hear about this issue.

Unfortunately your email account security certificate has been expired, we suggest you to remove the account and re add it again.

It will help you get this sorted out. Before doing that. Make sure you will take care of your password.

If issues still persist again, then contact your email service provider

What? I'm sorry I don't understand this. I've been using both for a long while and THIS isn't an issue with my Gmail app, so what is it all of a sudden with the Samsung Email app?? Can't the 'security certificate' be renewed? What account? It's an issue with either account, but in the Samsung Email app ONLY-therefore I feel it's a SAMSUNG issue, right?

What kind of phone ? And what UI are you running
Theres issues with android ui4
The issue is the app remembering your email ( guessimg since the update)
-remove the email address from the app
-then unistall the app or uodate it.
Then r e add your emails ro the app
-siggested to change your passwords before as well
Some mail servers require them to be changed or they lock out

Hi, we recommend you to try to clear Cache and data on the application , please follow the steps given below :

1. From Settings, swipe to and tap Apps. Select the Samsung email application. Tap Storage, and then tap Clear cache (bottom right button).

2. From Settings, swipe to and tap Apps. Select the Samsung email application. Tap Storage, tap Clear data, and then tap OK.

This will completely wipe the app and reset it to the original settings. After clearing the cache and data, restart your device and check if it resolves the issue.

Telus routers have settings to block and filter datat streams or throttle them.
And telus partnered with google for space since you get 10 emails with the isp.
So it should just work. Chekc that your random.mac address settinsg are set correctly for mail.
Your service on wifi may be unsecured and causing it to auto lock down sp to speak.
