OthersI will also mention that no matter how careful you try to clean it that it will peel. It is a daily battle. Samsung will do nothing because it is a cosmetic problem so no warranty for that.

Same problem here. Oven is 4 years old, we have NEVER used the self-clean option, and I can see this is too dangerous to clean:sharp shards of glass-like enamel. What is the official response to this common issue, @Samsung? This is a serious manufacturing defect.

OthersHello,
Seeking help and direction. My samsung oven range is doing this as well. My first time steam cleaning it cracked. Photos attached. the finish cracks and breaks off into shards. I hope this is something that Samsung covers under warranty. I've never had an oven do this before.

OthersIt is of my opinion that samsung is using inferior ceramic coating on their stoves and yes we should sue them. I am looking into this.
After I used the self cleaning feature mine cracked as well but since I don't use the oven as often it is after the one year warranty.
ceramic coating in the custom car industry handles 1800 degrees. Ovens are way less.
I really do not care if they call it cosmetic, that just means they are aware of the issue and do not care about customer satisfaction and are manufacturing inferior products.

OthersWe bought our new range exactly 1 year ago and have the same issue. We have used the self clean but have never scrubbed the bottom of the stove. We called Samsung and same response that this is cosmetic and not covered. They told us to call the distributor since we bought an extended warranty and they are basically telling the same thing. The cost of this stove was $$$ and I'm shocked that they think we should be okay with this defect! It is not just cosmetic, it will cause the oven to fail/rust quicker. The enamel is put on to protect the frame of the stove. Has anyone gotten any action on this issue?

OthersBought a Samsung gas range in 2019.
Used the self clean feature once (oven was not even that dirty)—and massive amounts of acrid smoke filled the house and flames came up from under the the bottom panel.
Turns out paint had melted off and every time I turn the oven on—and now once it reaches 400 degrees, more melting & more smoke & flames.
NO local appliance repair firms will work on Samsung—so I had to call Samsung directly.
The 1-800-Samsung number is a colossal joke.

OthersI purchased my Samsung range 2/28/22, the cracking a peeling started within the same month, the bottom of the oven was replaced and the same thing is happening. I called Samsung today and was told this does not qualify for a replacement or refund. I requested a Supervisor call back. My next step is to contact the office of The CEO as we ALL should do. The cavity of the oven is supposed to be nearly indestructible and able to withstand hundreds of degrees of heat, instead the cavity material is substandard and under performs with normal use. This is a safety hazard because when the teflon coating is absent, the oven is a fire hazard and Samsung knows that!!!
