A feature available for a while on the web version, Direct/Private messages are now directly available on the app! Here's how they work:
You can visit someone's profile and you'll be greeted with two buttons: the familiar "follow/unfollow" and Direct message.
Tapping on the new button will lead you to a prompt where you can input a conversation title (ex: when ui 4 for samsung) and write whatever you want to write.
The message is sent. If you want to check all your DMs, visit your own profile and tap your own DMs button. The messages are presented in a standard messaging way.
You're getting spammed in your DMs? There's an ignore function where you may never receive messages from certain members. Ignoring ONLY WORKS FOR DMs. Those hoping to finally having the cure against trolls should stop getting filled with hope.
This action is reversible but don't ignore yourself, it hides all your DMs. Samsung wants you to consider yourself as your friend for self-esteem.
PLUS: The picture UI was slightly fixed, with the white bar for the status bar not as big as it previously was (to accommodate N10/S10 holes). Hopefully they get rid of the white bar completely and remove the fake corners as well eventually. It kind of breaks immersion

3-id like to add, bc you mentioned this, I perused around the app and didn't see any changes but I didn't notice anything bc I usually don't browse it, except for this... if it's a member that you're following or that's following you that you like to message, you can goto my page and press that button (see screenshot 1) 🤙
