Great 👍🏻

Of course all devices sold in Canada since December 2017 are "unlocked", and Samsung's servers push the OTAs.

Pretty sure that you'll really like the update to One UI V5.0, I know that I do 😁

Oh yeah, I was aware of that, haha. Yeah, I'm looking forward to checking it all out! 👍🏻

Pretty much everything that was there before is still there, PLUS some additional good stuff.

Some things are accessed slightly differently, and so far the only thing that seems to be unnecessarily requiring an additional step, is seeing the most  Notification History.

Notifications > Advanced > History,

whereas previously, it was just Click on Notifications & one more click, instead of the 2 we have now. (Maybe there's a shortcut?)

Well, the notifications look a bit different when you swipe down.

Just thought of this... in the past, I've heard it was good to do a reset after a big Android/One UI update. Is that still the case?

I always do, and never had any issues, unlike some other people.

Essentially because, While there's a script in every OTA that essentially wipes Cache. In Android version updates, the script SHOULD erase / wipe data that may be a conflict to the new OS.

It's not always 100% effective, and there's been plenty of posts over the years, where some people experienced issues, some almost unnoticeable, others more so.

Performing a Factory Reset, while shouldn't be required, has for me at least, resulted in never having any problems.

It's a habit from testing Custom Roms & I think that it's served me well.

Do you restore from backup or start new?

I restore from my Smart Switch Backup, always!

The only reason not to restore a backup, is if there's concern that you could be restoring a problem.  👍🏻
