I just talked to samsung support about this and they said that apprently some people have already got the update and it's being rolled out in batches but it doesn't acutally seem like anyone got it yet

It says 27th of December on Fido update websites, coming soon on Rogers websites and January 6th on Telus update page

In my previous experience, fido was always right, telus was most likely not the right day
