So i did the clear cache thing in recovery mode. It hasnt taken away the flickering, which is constantly happening while i type this. So because of samsungs bugged up update, i now have to save everything and factory reset because of their update. There has to be a better way.

Know plenty of people with the Note 10 / 20 who received the One UI V4.0 update & none of them have any "flickering" issues & only a few of them have Factory Reset, but not because they had any issues either.

I received the One UI V4.0 update on my S20 Ultra, and waited about a week before I Factory Reset, & again I didn't have any issues whatsoever, but I just Factory Reset after any Android version update as a SOP.

suggestion for troubleshooting.

record a video of the flickering using the note's own video recorder tool available in the quick panel.

is the anomaly recorded?

ill try its happens so quickly by time i go to record it stops

SM-N986W and yes i did update to android 12

I had the flicker issue back in the summer last year after update and it was caused by messages app. Replaced with Google messages and no more flicker.
With this android 12 update I had keyboard freezing issues but replaced the Samsung keyboard with gbaord and the freezing went away

yes its happens mostly when im typung or its a whote backround, ots so faint but noticeable dim
