Loving it. Thank you Samsung. Have been waiting for so many years for this features. I can uninstall some free apps (I hate ads).

My Files needs to add Webdav to the Network Storage protocols for this app to be more universal.

It seems the more "partnerships" phone makers make with cloud storage providers like Microsoft and Google the more universal access is crippled on apps like My Files. Trading one walled garden for another is not a reasonable or open solution.

I'm  having issues with this, I have a usb connected to my asus router, I don't have issues accessing it from my MAC but can't connect from my samsung, any insights ?

i am able to connect to a shared drive, thanks! But how can I do something like an rsync to it to back up my photos/files? I want to avoid sending to cloud then from cloud to my pc.

Note, I can copy from phone to network drive but it copies everything. I want to sync only new items from phone to PC.

Can't connect. Make sure the address and other info are correct. Same issue.  Have tried all mentioned "fixes" to  no avail.  I must be missing a setting somewhere.  McAfee allows app/port. Accounts correct, to my knowledge,  As with others above, I just tried another third party app and it works just fine,  Would be nice if the native app worked.  Does anyone have anything  new to add?

don`t log in with microsoft account, just make a local account

i don`t know whose have to be blame for this, i think something with the windows protection coz i used another 3rd party app and have the same result, "can`t connect.Make sure the address and other info are correct..."

Hot garbage; never worked. My smb share is perfectly working on my local network, but the My Files app always says "Can't connect. Make sure the address and other info is correct, then try again."

@SequoiaD, this was the My File Networking first release tutorial. The My Files app has been updated many tines. Also, this My File app network connection only support the really basic network connection. So, it may not work 100% in different scenario. For known issue:

- It won't work if using Microsoft account in Windows. Only work for Windows local account.

- Also not work with Domain account

was this feature not added to the s8 ? i dont have that option on my s8 and i would like to use it.

My last choice is the google drive do i need to update something or am i sol?

I don't have S8, I cannot am not sure if S8 support it or not. When read through app description, it does mention ※ Supported features may be different depending on models.
