Note 10 Lite - Green video calls after UI 5.1 update

Hey,

I've got a Note 10 Lite, and after the latest update to One UI version 5.1, my video calls turned green, just the color green. It's a bit like the Hulk but not as fun.

WhatsApp and Messenger show my camera and others' cameras working, but they only see a green screen. 🟢

Oddly enough, when I use the camera app, everything's fine. I can take photos and record without a hitch.

Here's what I've tried so far:

  1. Wiping the cache partition.
  2. Cleaning up all app settings.
  3. Making sure all my apps are up to date.
  4. Made sure there's no video call effects on

Could you work your magic and help me exhibit my kids to their relatives? 🙏

Although there are a number of people who think that the WhatsApp issue, is a Samsung issue, but since there's reports of people using Google Pixel devices, and iPhones, who have similar issues with WhatsApp, AND since there's no issues with Video Calling using almost any other app, ie: Google Chat, Signal, Telegram, Zoom, Skype etc. on Samsung devices..

That's why I suggested asking in the WhatsApp community.. maybe there's an answer there?

Hi I have exactly the same problem. Wattsapp screen turns green during video calls. The phone is acting wierd. It slowed down after update and battery drains very quickly. I am so dissapointed from Samsung. I have tried everything and nothing solved the problem. It was all working fine and next day I do this update and its a mess. I am getting vibe that samsung wants me to buy new phone. I guess I will never buy samsung again.

I think that someone posted that they don't have this issue with WhatsApp Business version. 

You could also try try installing a previous version of WhatsApp, and see if it works (at least temporarily, as you'll be forced to update WhatsApp sooner than later).

I am experiencing exactly the same problem after the last update. If Samsung won't fix it, for me that will be it. I will have to change the phone and choose different brand.
