Note 8 Camera (voice activation)

On previous editions, Ive always used the voice shutter activation by saying 'capture'. Works great for selfies and other.

On Note8, the toggle switch to activate this is functional, but once you leave settings it toggles off again.

I have reset the Camera options... and also made sure the mic is enabled in app permissions.

Is this happening with anyone else? a bug perhaps?

Try turning off the 'bixby voice wakeup' in notifications panel.

damn... that worked.. so I have to choose between launching Bixby vs launching camera shutter? Seems lame...

but since voice activated Bixby is aggressive to launch (often ill timed) I guess ill give it up.

Thanks for the solution man... family selfies are back on for thanksgiving....

Edit: They should grey out the toggle option if Bixby is active... instead of making us run around like goats

There's actually an error message that should pop up after you turn it on and then return the camera. The message will tell you that this feature can't work when"Bixby voice wakeup is on"

I use bixby for all my voice commands now, shes great!
