VPN not connecting on Note 9

HI Everyone;  I am pretty much at the end of my rope.  I use a vpn connection for my work an as the inside IT for my Company have set up working VPN's for myself and my sales staff.  My VPN connection works great on my laptop but trying to setup on my Samsung Note9 or TabA is futile at best.  I use the same vpn settings but keep getting "unsuccessful" with no error code.  Yesterday I got my outside IT person involved and he used the same settings on his Note10 and was successful at getting a connection.  He also checked the server log and at no time did my Tab or Note connections ever make it to the server.  After spending last night and this morning on line trying to find answers I could find nothing... Please, if someone has found out the answer to this problem (phone setting? Router setting?) it would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried using a VPN app?

yes tried using Anyconnect and it didn't work either :(

I am using Avast VPN and have no problems on all my devices

I can tell him i am in Honolulu instead of Montreal

Also, when it recognised my Wifi, it disconnect automatically

Nope, not going to give out a credit card in the hopes it might work, but thanks for the suggestion. 

I am looking for a working answer to the current VPN that is in both the note9 and TabAb.  I have looked online with regards to this issue, and it seems that I am not the only one that is having this problem.  I thought I could actually come on the actual Samsung forum and converse with people that might have some insight as to what the problem is.

you make me discover than it was existing in my Note 10+ so maybe somebody can explain us how to do, like that i will not have to pay Avast in March 2020 when my access will be over...

@CHMultimedia or Shaggyskunk1, any idea ?

So if you don't have any logs about attempted connections to your VPN...

Are you absolutely certain that the correct settings are used? I doubt they aren't but still.
Do older devices connect to the VPN without issue?

My outside IT guy looked at my logins on the server.  It clearly showed the successful logins on my laptop, but absolutely no log in attempts on either my TabA or Note9.   Heres the kicker, I gave him my settings that I used to log in, and he logged in to VPN on his S10 no problem!  Yesterday, I even called my internet provider and went on the router to see if there was something disabled on that...nope everything good.  He also stated that if you can get on VPN through your laptop, then there should not be a problem with phone or tablet, and if the router setting was incorrect, then I would not be able to get through at all.  I even did a reset of my phone settings.... nope same thing.... "unsuccessful"

Like I stated previously, I searched online and found that I am not the only one that is having this problem and it does seem like Samsung is not wanting to address it.

Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated

I updated from note 5 to note 20 5g and same issue....
