Hi nick17, Could you please let us know what have you done so far to resolve the issue. Check for the battery stats in the Settings >> Device care >> Battery >> Tap Battery usage.

Hi

Did you try to make a wipe cache partition  ?

Samsung Galaxy S8

Turn off the device.

Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.

When the Android logo displays, release all keys ('Installing system update' will show for about 30 - 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).

Press the Volume down key several times to highlight “wipe cache partition.”Press the Power key to select.

Press the Volume down key to highlight “yes” and press the Power key to select.

When the wipe cache partition is complete, “Reboot system now” is highlighted.

Press the Power key to restart the device.

Did you clear cache and data from Device Care ?

Settings/Applications / Device Care / Storage,  clear cache and data  and restart your device

did you test the battery before installing it ? is it a quality battery? trusted name ? batteries are a hard thing to find a good one.

you could also try a factory reset to this will reset battery stats its recommended after changing a battery :). silly cars even have bms now that have to be reset after changing them :)

I own an S8, it is so good that I have no incentive to upgrade. I still get about 5 hrs or more screen on time under medium use, and can last one whole day before charging. Bluetooth, wifi and location were enabled all day long, brightness stays about 25% with two minutes screen on duration. My setting is just keep all the optimization features in Device Care disabled and put all apps into sleeping mode except only those that have to stay awake when the screen is off, such as Google Map, Internet, My Files, Music, email, masenger, google photos, whatsapp etc. I set auto start three days a week and also use medium power mode without setting 70% cpu limit, and also set screen at FHD+. Hope this can help you.

do you charge your phone over night, charge when it's 0 and leave till it's a hundred, or keep it in the charge 24/7? if so, that may be the root cause. it leaves battery life shorter and it affects the lifespan of the phone. my dad does this a lot even tho I tell him not to after I got my phone a few months ago. consider keeping the battery 40%-80%, maybe keeping it 80% before going to bed and don't charge it. keep it out of the charger during the day unless it's under 40%. one hour before going to bed charge it to 80%,like I mentioned before. hope this helps.
