Galaxy SYou can click agree, and then wait for it to enable. Once enabled click the three dots at the top of messages and you can turn chat back off if you don't want to use it.

Galaxy STry this, Go to settings > Apps search for Google Messages & Uninstall ALL updates to Google Messages & Reboot. You should then update it & Click on "Agree" if you want to use Chat features aka RCS

Galaxy SHi, If you still get the pop-up even after enabling it, I suggest you to contact your carrier as RCS is a carrier-based feature. Please check if there is an issue at their end and write back to us if the issue still persists.

Galaxy SI have been dealing with this for a week and it interrupts me every 5 minutes. After multiple msgs to them, they finally told me to perform a factory reset. EXTREMELY inconvenient.

Galaxy SYeah you should be able to Uninstall all updates to Google Messages & then Reboot. You'll be put to update Google Messages & then you should be able to click on "agree" if that's what you want to do.
I don't know why everyone from Samsung thinks that you need to remove your accounts before you factory reset your phone?? You DEFINITELY don't need to, because the factory reset will do that anyway. You just need to know your password / pin etc when the phone boots up after the factory reset & you'll have to add your Google & Samsung accounts anyway.
I swear that they all work from the same flip chart 🙄
