Contacts keep moving to trash without me deleting them

Hi

My contacts gets deleted and appear in trash. When I went to trash I recover them but again and again it gets deleted some of them not all of them. 

I don't know why because I don't even deleting it myself it gets deleted it self auto. 

Could someone please help if anyone experience the same it is so frustrating. I have to keep saving contacts again and again and even most of my contacts got deleted and it didn't go to trash. 😔

Same here, and this IS a Samsung problem, their own contacts app is deleting the contacts. A consistent and frustrating occurrence that I regularly notice when txt contacts show as a phone number, not a name.

If you're using Samsung's Messages app, switch to Google's Messaging app from the Play Store. 

Samsung's Moderators have also advised people to use Google Messages rather than Samsung's Messaging app.

I've been using the google messages and contacts app and still the contacts end up in the BIN of their contacts app. Contacted google and they say it's Samsung's problem they should address the bug with an update! Samsung, as usual, refuses to acknowledge the issue let alone issue an update to fix the bug!

The recommendation to switch to Google's Messaging app, was related to the issue of only numbers appearing, and not names when receiving texts.

Nothing to do with any contacts going to the bin.

Someone else posted something about WhatsApp possibly being the cause of Contacts disappearing?

I have the same problem. Just started about 2-3 months ago. I first noticed it on my whatsapp with chat names dissapearing and showing only the mobile number. I've tried so many things, including removing permissions from all the apps on my phone and granting permission each time I use an app again. But what you mentioned about whatsapp made me wonder if it could be the cause. At the moment I just routinely go to my google contacts trash and recover all the contacts. Hope a solution is found soon.

I have the same issue, there should be an account which is leading the sync, can't find where is this option ?

Open your Contacts & Click on the Hamburger Menu, Middle Left. 

What account / Where are your Contacts being saved > Google account > Samsung Account > Phone or SIM?

Mine are saved to my Google Account.

My contacts become deleted as quickly as I recover them from Trash, and it's been six months now. Some help, please help!
