Hey members just posting to see if maybe I'm missing something, I had a galaxy s22 ultra in which then I got the buds 2 pro, they worked great and loud for audio with that phone, now contract ended phone went back, trying to use the headphones with my s20 ultra and audio is clear and loud for phone calls but all media otherwise in terms of music regardless of app and even at full volume, are soooo quiet, both ear buds and phone are fully up to date, is there something I'm missing to make the audio for music louder or is it something to do with the Bluetooth? Thanks in advance

If you don't have Samsung's Sound Assistant installed, I'd definitely download it & set it up.

Also, if you are using Samsung's Adapt Sound or some other Audio Tuner, (I use Wavelet, which requires adb for maximum effect), that can add to your volume control.

So turns out I already had sound assistant installed and set up (changing a few things didn't make a difference) I tried wavelet as you said you use (I just don't have anything to do adb) but even that made no difference regardless the changes I made as there was nothing for volume, its more of an equalizer

Press on the Up Volume & then Click where you see the 3 Dots.

You should then see the expanded Volume panel.

Make sure that the one on the Far Right is at Maximum.

The Buds Volume is controlled by the one to the left.

Yea I did that, but it remained at the same volume at "max" as it had been before sadly, starting to think its the Bluetooth versions being different between the 2

Maybe.. try Factory Resetting the Buds.. see if that works for you?

That was the very first thing I tried, I even tried unpairing from them and reconnecting to them as if it was brand new but made no difference

It shouldn't be anything to do with the Bluetooth version, as Bluetooth is backwards compatible.

I've got both the S20 Ultra & S23 Ultra & A couple of different Jabra Elite Active Earbuds. 65t use Bluetooth 5.0 & 85t use Bluetooth 5.1.

No issues connecting any of them to either.

See if you can borrow / test another set of Buds with your S20...

You could also try opening the Samsung Members app & Click on Support & Phone Diagnostics.. run the Diagnostics for Bluetooth on your phone. See if you get any error messages?
