Galaxy S21+l Ultra or fold 2?

Never seen a Fold 2 in person (or even the original fold) but the GF has an S21 Ultra which she loves .. Is the Fold 2 a good daily driver? My phones are mostly used for texts, youtube, playing some MTG and a bit of audio books here and there

I would stick with the ultra. Its more durable and more practical. Not saying the fold 2 is bad but the experience you'll have on the ultra will be more worth your money.

Durability would be key i tinker on vehicles all the time so the phones always under the hood with the flashlight on getting bounced around lol

Definitely. The fold 2 doesn't play too nice with dust .it doesn't have an ip rating and the screen on the inside isn't glass.

I would definitely go with the Ultra. As already mentioned, durability being the main reason. ( I personally don't like folding screens )

But on all forum, screen seems a big problem on Fold 2 series
So i'd go with S21Ultra

I own both devices and here's my take on it.

What's most attractive about the Z fold 2 is the bigger immersive screen on the inside. But the S21 Ultra screen isn't that much smaller to be honest. Only time I found it more immersive are for games. When watching videos, you either get bl..ack bars on the top and bottom or you zoom in and miss most of the video.

If you tinker a lot with vehicles and use your phone too, you wouldn't have the peace of mind leaving the Z fold 2 laying around lol and you'd have a heart attack if it ever fell. Plus if your phone ever gets dirty, the S21 Ultra would be easy to wash cause it has an IP rating.

In my personal case, I find the Z fold 2 durable enough. I don't even use a case for it anymore as it adds too much bulk. But I am still very careful with it.

In your case, I'd go with the S21 Ultra though. You'd have more peace of mind and with what you use your phones for, it isn't worth dropping the extra cash for the Z fold 2.
