have a problem with youtube full screen mode

since yesterday I found my Samsung s8 can not get into full screen mode when I watch youtube. the little full screen icon didn't pop up at all. I uninstalled and installed it back. it didn't work. I don't if it's cellphone issue or the app issue? is anyone who got this problem?

@jingzhou198, I got my S8 to go full screen when I watch YouTube. I chose the video I wanted to watch, tapped the screen when video started playing, tapped the broken box in the bottom right corner of the screen, that box turned the video the left and filled the screen. All I had to do is also turn my device to the left and I could watch the video in full screen mode. If you give the above suggestions a try then you should be able to watch YouTube in full screen.

it's not what I'm talking about. loll. I mean s8 can crop the size video to 18:9. not 16:9. I totally understand what you mean. but I mean there`s a little button when you watch video on full screen mode, when you tap of it. the video size will change from 16:9 to 18:9

Yeah I know what you're talking about im having the same issue as well. I updated my software with the October security patch yesterday, I think that might be the issue.

Same issue here! There was a button which would switch YouTube video to fill the whole screen. That option is missing now.

I have 2 email accounts. my Google email updates and syncs my emails...my aol account does not. it used to yet no longer does! how do I fix that?

I don't have the button to go into full screen, instead I have the pinch to zoom option
