Wait, carriers are in charge of releasing OS updates or am I just really confused.

I don't think they are in charge of releasing updates but all carriers usually get them at close to the same time.

Telus, Rogers, and Fido release shedules of what they see upcoming in the near future for updates

So carriers receive the update first and then roll them out or how does it work
