notifications on Facebook messenger

anyone else have the problem with their messenger app not notifying you of a message unless on Wi-Fi? it use to be on all the time and for the last month or so I havent been getting my messages unless I physically check the app and open it or until I come home at night and when my phone connects to Wi-Fi my phone dings with all the messages I missed all day.

I haven't changed anything but id say something somewhere changed a Setting

Since the update my s7 has also done the same thing. Went into notifications and it shows me messager is on

do you have your phone on power saving mode? sometimes that restricts it from your messages coming through

There is a setting about Dara saver. Check to see if that is enabled or not. It stops background data usage

can't find any such setting. How do I locate it as I have put it in the search bar and nothing

also are you using the facebook messenger app or just the facebook app. Also check your data usage settings to make sure nothing cuts ur data off even if you are passed your limit.

I constantly had/have issues. I checked all settings and it should have been working. When it seemed that all of the bugs had finally been worked out, I got the Nougat update..... now I have the issue again, among MANY others.
