Hey all,

Can I set different notification sounds on a per-App basis? Example I want my WhatsApp notification sound to be different than the system default.

Or is this just not a Samsung thing? Thanks.

Absolutely you can set different Notification souds for any apps you want.

Simply open the app(s), go to IT'S Settings & Notifications > Click on the Notification & Change it from Samsung's Default Notification sound to one that you want to use for this particular app.

You could also download Notification & Ringtones from Zedge, which is a popular app for Ringtones & Notification sounds.

You could also go to Settings > Notifications > App Notifications & All, scroll down to the apps where you want to change the Notification sound.

This does not work on my Note 10+, there is no option to change the sound.

You're not looking in the right place to change the Notification sound.

Go to the Settings for any app & it's Notifications.

Click on the current Notification sound & then you'll have the option to change it.

It's been like that for Android since the beginning of time.

Gmail as an example.

Thanks for the reply! Ok, I see that one. Can you do the same for Messages? The same options are not available there. I tried using Google Messenger but had the same problem.

For Google Messages, you Click on one of your Contacts & Then Details & Notification.

Then you'll see the next screens that were there for Gmail.

Ok, so that's a person-by-person solution. No way to make it global? Thanks again.

Well, you can make it global, but most people want to use unique Notification sounds, so that you know who the text is from without having to look. At least that's what I want.

I'm more interested in changing the notification sound for the whole app.
