I am having a problem with Face Lock as my phone opens with my friend's face and vice-versa. We tried it on S23, S24 ultra and Oneplus 7. Results are same!!
I shared this concern on Samsung members' feedback corner, Chat support, tried to connect on instagram and X, NO RESPONSE yet!
I don't want to switch to ios because of accessibility constraints.
Help!!!!

Are you saying that both Samsung & One Plus, Face Unlock isn't only unlocking with your face?

You could try going to Settings > Apps > Toggle ON "Show System Apps" and Search for "Biometrics", Clear Both Cache & Data for Biometrics (you'll need to Register your Finger Prints again) And Register your face again.

See if that works for you?

Face Unlock only works with my face on both my S23 Ultra & S25 Ultra... And sometimes it does not recognize me.

Well that's strange. Your friend must really look like you. lol

Hi Sukhpreet,

That’s definitely concerning! It sounds like the facial recognition might not be distinguishing between similar features, which can happen if "Faster recognition" is enabled.

Try this: Go to Settings > Biometrics and Security > Face Recognition. Disable "Faster recognition" (this prioritizes speed over accuracy). Remove and re-register your face in different lighting conditions

If the issue persists, submitting an error report through Samsung Members > Support > Error Reports with logs may help Samsung investigate further.

Hopefully, this helps! Let us know if you notice any improvements.

Thank you.

Hi, I did the same it was advised by an expert in chat support, problem still persists!
May be Samsung has to update or make some improvements in their face recognition feature.

This isn't a Samsung issue it's all smart phones. My friends iPhone let's her daughter open the phone with her face. It tells you when you're setting up the phone that face recognition is not secure. Better to go with a pin or finger print

Yes, i think fingerprint is far better than face lock. Thanks!
