S10 Phone app popping up on its own

Hi,

Using Galaxy S10. Today my phone app started opening on it's own. It intrudes while I'm using other apps like youtube, chrome, and even while I was typing up this post.

I have restarted the device, and cleared the app data and cache, but it's still happening quite often. About 10 times in the last hour. 

Anybody else have this issue? My software is up to date.

Just to confirm, while using your phone regularly, the phone app keeps popping up, by this you mean dialpad?

By any chance are you tapping on a group of numbers that could be pulling up your dial app? What types of apps or things are you doing on your device, when the phone app randomly appears?

Hi thanks for the reply. Yes I mean my dial pad keeps popping up. it's most often when I'm not touching anything at all, like watching a youtube video.

also happens randomly when the phone is sleeping, the lock screen will light up. nothing shows, but I assume it's the dial-up pad opening beneath.

that is very odd, I am using an S10 and I have not encountered this issue.

When did this start happening? It seems like you have tried the basic troubleshooting steps.

Maybe check your settings in accessibility as well, and if all fails, you may need to try a factory reset but of course back everything up with Samsung Smart Switch

hmm, are you using tempered glass?? something might be pressing on that part of the screen.

this actually happens when i use the tempered glass with only glue on the sides on my note 8 before. i hope its just simple fix like this.

no tempered glass, just a screen protector. I've had it on for 2 months with no problem until today

did you try removing the phone app on homescreen?

try removing the phone app on homescreen. and observe what happens.
