Galaxy SHey, so try to begin with a wipe cache partition first? That would be a great first step to begin. Hopefully it will fix it but otherwise we can go a bit deeper, if you agree.

Galaxy SWiping Cache on a new device, isn't likely to do much, but it can't hurt.
If you haven't already, I'd go to Device Care & Click on the Battery > Background Usage Limits & Click on Sleeping Apps and Click on the "+" and add apps that you don't use often as well as apps that are consuming the most battery (you can see which apps those are from "Battery Usage". There's going to be some System apps that you can't "put to sleep".
Apps that you almost never use can be added to "Deep Sleeping Apps" the same way. Click on Deep Sleeping & the "+".
If you're really determined to reduce battery consumption, you can Toggle ON "power Saving", and one step further, go to Settings > Apps & click on the apps one by one & Click on "Battery" in each app & select either "Optimized" or "Restricted" > Restricted settings may cause the app to not work as desired & there may also be delays in getting Notifications from the app.

Galaxy SThat seems to happen with just about every new device. Pretty sure that the same was said when the S20 Ultra was released, which is the device that I have.
I think that it's a combination of set up, apps & user's expectations.
Ever since I've been running Stock Unrooted Samsung devices, I ALWAYS Boot into to Recovery after every Security Patch Update & I ALWAYS Factory Reset after EVERY Android version update. Never had any issues & the battery life has always been decent.
