Usually happens under 15% when battery crashes to 1% all of sudden. But now it happened at 35% and had to cut my trip short and return to hotel.

Any temporary fix? Like charge even if it's full? I didn't send it for repair before because this trip was coming close and I thought I'll just consider I've 85% max battery but now it seems 65% :(.

you might not realize it but recording for 1 hour straight is very intensive

Well yes I am on vacation so I need to use it. But the point is, my battery was 35% and in one second it goes to 1%. Can you see the fall?

I was using camera whole time before and it was slowly falling versus 35 to 1% in one second

I didn't record 1 hour straight. I do 4k which is 5 min max anyway.

Any chance it was very cold out? I was out the other day for the winter festival, taking lots of pictures as well and my phone did the same thing. Lithium ion batteries don't do well in cold weather for extended amount of time.

Yeah it's not the camera's fault. You see a huge, sudden dip, not a sharper slope. Battery seems faulty. Happened on my old Moto G (dipped to 0 or 1% suddenly, and then would stay at 1% for a while). This occurred regardless of ambient conditions (inside, outside). Only solution was to change the battery.

I wouldn't say that temperature is the cause of that. Otherwise this issue wouldn't just be widespread, it would be omnipresent thorough every Canadian phone.

It's 21c where I am at. Tho when I was doing 8c it'd die out at 15%. Maybe higher temperature = faster battery issue? Idk.

Guess I'll have to live without a phone for 2 weeks..

Yeah it seems like a battery issue for sure. You have to change it.
In the meantime, you should see if you find some cheap powerbanks in Taiwan. It'll help you temporarily as long as you're there.

Yes I brought one. It's big tho, but I guess no choice. I had to cut my trip short and lost money for my ticket
