Smart Lock - Trusted Devices Missing

For the last couple of days I have had to constantly use my PIN or fingerprint to access my S23 Ultra. This morning I had a few minutes and looked in to why. I am an old codger and have hearing aids and I also have a Fitbit both of which I have set as trusted devices.

I was rather surprise to find Trusted Devices is missing from Settings -> Lock Screen -> Smart Lock.

I then wiped the cache partition and that did not help.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Any suggestions on how to resolve it?

On my device, it's seems to be random. It's there sometimes, but not others.

I am quite certain that Samsung / Google are aware of the issue, as it's been an ongoing issue for more than a year.

As previously mentioned, Google has been working on replacing Smart Unlock with Extend Unlock. We just don't know exactly when it will be available to everyone?

I have a S20FE and I lost the Trusted Device option after installing a Samsung security update this morning.

It isn't just you.

This worked for me but hopefully they'll fix it so it works correctly soon.

Yes, I have same problem.  The trusted device has disappeared.

Option now is trusted location and on body detection.

It's annoying as my device was set to stay unlocked when connected to my cars Bluetooth or my Bluetooth earbuds.

I have a Samsung S22 Ultra.

Anyone else with this issue?

Try creating a routine (Settings -> Modes and routines) that when the phone is connected via Bluetooth to your car then the phone is unlocked. It is not quite as elegant as Smart Lock -> Trusted devices but it works very well.

Considering that there's 8 pages on the subject, yeah it's safe to believe that others are having the same issue.
