The phone just freeze completely for about 3-4 seconde before instantly black screen and reboot. The circle of the animation when swipping doesn't even fully circled the word video. I just can't do that and now it's worst. I just can't use the camera app at all cause it remember the setting so when I press the camera app ,phone just die and reboot almost instantly. I just can't use the phone anymore for photoCan anybody help me. It's been a few days and I just can't take photo anymore. I have the Z fold 5 that cost a lot of money for not even being able to take picture with it. Very very annoying. I'm trying to stay with samsung but my friend are with apple and I can't deny that the pas 3 phone is has was android for the past 10 yerlars and they all had probleme of software while iphone are super stable. Still love the fold screen, that's a shame.

Thanks in advance guys !

After you realize that Apple isn't all that and a bag of chips..

Open the Camera and go to IT'S Settings and Reset the Camera's settings and Reboot.

If you still have problems, Go to Settings > Apps Search for the Camera & Click on it > Scroll down to Storage & Clear Both Cache and Data for the Camera & Reboot.

You should probably also at least Boot into Recovery & Wipe Cache.

Hello, thanks for the tricks. Unfortunately, can't open the camera app anymore so I already tried to clear cache from the setting but no luck. Camera open again after clearing cache but as soon as I try taking a picture or again, go in another mode, it crash again and reboot the phone. I'm just unable to do anything

I am trying to access the setting of the app itself but whenever I try to press on any icon, It crash. Not very easy. I will try rebooting the phone in recovery or maybe do the diagnostic app of samsung.

Have you tried to reset the camera app? And also try to boot into the recovery mode to wipe cache?

Si i just finish with the technicien in the call center. We tried pretty much everything and also reset the app, clear the entire system cache by rebooting into the phone setting with volume button and everything. Nothing works, as soon as I go on the video mode. Phone crash and reboot and can't open the app anymore unless I clear the cache of the actual phone by rebooting with power and volume button. So now I can take oicture just not touching anything else except shutter button if I want to use the app.

Hi alakam,

We are very sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue after the recent software update. We appreciate your efforts in trying all the possible ways.

If you haven't tried a Factory Data Reset yet, try to perform and see if it might help to fix the issue. Please make sure to back up all important data before proceeding.

I have to admit that the reset factory option is the only one I haven't tried yet. I will probably give it a try after I saved all my photos and videos. Hopefully it will work. I might also go see a Samsung center to see if they can help me with that. 🙏

You could also open the Samsung Members app, Click on Support & Phone Diagnostics. Run the Diagnostics for the Camera... see if you get any error messages.

Booting into Safe Mode, and seeing if the camera still behaves the same, could tell you that a 3rd party app is causing the problem?

Hello, unfortunately it is not helping in that case. I tried running the diagnostic with the support guy, when going to test camera it does test all of them by asking me to take a picture and not video. My problem is the camera app itself. If I tried to take video by switching to video mode OR enabling the HDR10+ option. This is where the camera app crash and reboot the phone in a few seconds. When running the diagnostic on the phone, since it's just testing the camera, it does work and the phone does take picture. That being said, you gave me an idea. I will try to see only best camera app to take HDR video with the phone and see if it crashes again. Thanks for these ideas 🙏
