The last phone I had was an A5, but I always avoided using system default apps, preferring APKs. I had to down grade to an iPhone 6s for a bit, until I got my [current] S20 FE 5G. Still re/learning about how to use it, makes me feel like my mom. Is there a default music app or do I have to rely on downloaded apps? If it's the latter; any recommendations for an app/apk [pro/premium AD FREE]?

Samsung music shouldn't be a system app on your device, if you're interested in using it.

I use Spotify myself.

Yes, you should have the native app for music, which is Samsung Music app.

Yes, but it's a system app on my S20 Ultra, as you can uninstall it if you want to.

I know, but it load by default. Unless the user already uninstall. Otherwise is still default and preloaded app on every Samsung Phones.

Hi, The Music Player on the Samsung Galaxy has been integrated into Google Play Music. However, if you still wish to use the Samsung Music Player, it is still available to download from either the Google Play Store or from Samsung Galaxy Apps.

The Samsung Music app supports playback of audio formats like MP3, WMA, AAC and FLAC.

Install Samsung Music on a Galaxy Device:

1Tap Apps then tap on the More Options or the three dots.

2Tap on Galaxy Essentials.

3Tap on Galaxy Essentials to download the Music Player App

You can also download third party music player app from the  play store.

Google Play Music was discontinued over a year ago.

I haven't used various music applications and platforms for a long time. They are convenient, but their problem is that you have to pay to listen to music. Sometimes I don’t even have the opportunity to spend even a small amount of money on subscriptions, so I found a way out for myself in the form of the Tubidy service which I now use often. Here you can listen and download music for free, finding the best tracks in excellent quality.
